Last minute consultation on West Yorkshire Bus Accessibility Policy Proposal – please tell them disability access to buses is vital

Please will everyone reply to this West Yorkshire  Bus Policy Proposal supplementary consultation on disability access to buses?

Apparently they need replies before 28th April.  Nina Smith, a prime mover of Friends of Hebden Bridge Station,  got wind of it at a consultation in Halifax on Tuesday about installing lifts at the station and generally improving disabled access.

Susan Quick, Hebden Bridge disability access campaigner,  said,

“I didn’t receive the consultation direct despite my long-term involvement is disability access issues.  I only know about it because Nina came across it. How many others haven’t been consulted?”

So let’s all of us complete the questionnaire and get it back to them.  Even if you never catch a bus, tell them why disabled people’s access to buses is vital.
